Since new year 2025, we have been fortunate enough to share a garden with a wren family. The wren is one of my favourite birds as well as my namesake. Stuck at home with chronic illness, this little bird has been keeping me company and on my better days I’ve had the pleasure of watching and drawing them. Every wren in this series is hand drawn into the clay and tinted with layers of iron oxide to create individual portraits.
