Part of my 2025 wren series, Doughty is an individual drawing, carved onto the surface of the clay by hand and surrounded by delicate leaf impressions.

The clay body is thrown by hand from cream-coloured stoneware. The wren is carefully drawn and painted by hand. The outside surface of this vase is matt cream and the fired red iron oxide has a slightly metallic sheen in places which is really beautiful.

The inside of the vase is clear glazed.
